At One Medical Clinics, we’re pleased to offer comprehensive driver medicals for HGV/Bus drivers and Taxi drivers. For a fee of just £150, our exam takes a mere 30 minutes, and includes a thorough eye test, blood pressure check, physical examination, and BMI check. During the process, you’ll be asked a series of questions that cover a range of important topics related to your health and wellbeing.
Our experienced doctors will take the time to evaluate your cardiovascular system, including any concerns related to high blood pressure, as well as your endocrine system, such as diabetes. They’ll also examine your musculoskeletal system to address any back pain concerns, as well as evaluate your neurological health to assess any risks related to stroke.
Additionally, we’ll delve into any psychiatric concerns, including depression, and ask about your alcohol and drug history. Of course, we’ll also assess your vision and make sure that your eyesight is up to par.
After your exam, your doctor will complete the necessary forms based on your answers, medical history, medications, and the results of the examination findings. To ensure a smooth and efficient process, we ask that you bring along several key items, including photo ID, your driving glasses or contact lenses, and details of any ongoing medical conditions.
Additionally, we’ll need to know about any prescription medications that you’re currently taking. And finally, please bring the DVLA STANDARD D4 MEDICAL FORM, filling in the grey section on page 1 (left hand side) labelled “Your details” and page 8 (consent and declaration), along with your name and date of birth at the foot of all other pages on the D4.
