Here are the ultrasound services that we currently offer.
Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound Scans
Used to assess muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints for conditions like arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, and muscle tears.
Preparation: No special prep needed; wear loose-fitting clothing for easy access.
What to Expect: The scan is painless, lasting 15–20 minutes.
General Ultrasound Scans
Abdomen Ultrasound: Assesses organs like the liver, kidneys and gallbladder for conditions such as gallstones and liver disease.
Preparation: Fast for 6 hours before the scan.
Pelvic Ultrasound: Examines the uterus and ovaries for cysts, fibroids and Polycystic Ovaries(PCOS).
Preparation: A full bladder is required.
Kidneys, Ureters, and Bladder (KUB) Ultrasound: Checks for kidney stones and bladder issues.
Preparation: A full bladder is needed.
Groin Ultrasound: Detects hernias, enlarged lymph nodes and soft tissue abnormalities.
Lumps & Bumps Ultrasound: Evaluates superficial swelling, cysts and other soft tissue conditions such as lipomas.
Small Parts Ultrasound Scans
Testes/Scrotal Ultrasound: Examines testicular health for lumps, swelling or infections.
Thyroid/Neck Ultrasound: Checks for thyroid nodules, goitre and lymph node issues.
Breast Ultrasound: Provides detailed imaging of breast tissue for lumps, cysts, and further assessment of mammogram findings.
Vascular Ultrasound Scans
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Scan: Detects blood clots in the legs that may cause swelling and pain
Carotid Doppler Ultrasound: Assesses blood flow in the carotid arteries to detect plaque build-up and stroke risk
What to Expect During Your Ultrasound Scan
The procedure is safe, painless, and typically lasts 15–30 minutes. A water-based gel is applied and the sonographer will move a probe over the area being examined. Results will be explained during or after the scan or sent to your referring doctor.
